My true, professional start with web design started with some companies I have worked for. The skills I honed at these companies have given me a deep understanding on how websites work and what makes a compelling experience.
POLITICO MEDIA GROUP
POLITICO Media Group is a leading digital news company focusing on political news. They own three B2B properties: POLITICO Pro, AgencyIQ, and EE News.
My work at POLITICO Media Group involved managing the B2B marketing websites for these properties. As a website operations specialist I led two site redesigns, implemented daily content updates, designed and created impactful landing pages, and utilized analytics to drive more traffic to the sites.
My love for managing projects came from my time with POLITICO. I was able to create and manage some cool sites while also keeping projects on track and seeing real time growth from changes I recommended.
CGI DIGITAL
CGI Digital is a marketing agency that specializes in media content for municipalities and small businesses.
My role as a Website Coordinator played into my strengths: project management, client relationships, and communication. I utilized my past experience managing websites to make communication about client expectations and designer capacity clear and collaborative.
I was the main drive in launching 40 websites in 4 months. I loved learning about each client and their history. It helped me understand what they were looking for so I could assist with design feedback and QA Testing.
BLICK ART MATERIALS
BLICK Art Materials is an art supply retailer located in the Midwest.
As a marketing specialist, my role was to manage the marketing on BLICK Art Materials and Utrecht Art Supplies websites.
I created landing pages for marketing campaigns, coded banners, managed spreadsheets, and analytics for both sites.
